Hypothetical performance: Results are based on historical TradingView Strategy Tester data with simulated execution — not live trading results, and no guarantee of future performance. Backtest assumptions: 2 contracts, $25,000 starting capital, $0.62 commission per contract per side. Actual results may differ due to slippage, execution, fees, settings, and market conditions. The approach

A system does the same thing on Tuesday that it did on Monday.

The edge isn’t a secret indicator — it’s consistency. A fixed set of rules, applied to one market, on one timeframe, without second-guessing. That discipline is the whole product.

Rules-based

Every entry, stop, and exit is defined in code. You follow the signals or you don’t — nothing is left to how the day feels.

Automation ready

Connect VantEdge alerts to supported automation services to route signals to your trading environment, including compatible execution services such as Ghost, TradersPost, PickMyTrade, and CrossTrade.

Consistent process

One instrument, tuned deeply, beats a dozen half-understood ones. VantEdge trades MNQ on the 2-minute chart.

Risk-managed

Positions are handled with a single OCO bracket — stop and target — plus optional breakeven and structural-stop logic.

How it works

Bias, then conditions, then a confirmed signal.

VantEdge combines a directional trend-bias filter with a set of market-condition gates. An entry is only taken when bias and conditions align — then the position is managed by a single rule-based OCO bracket.

01

Directional trend bias

A trend-bias filter establishes which side of the market the strategy is willing to trade at all.

02

Market-condition gates

Volume and participation, choppiness and range, and an adaptive Regime Gate screen out conditions that don’t favor the setup.

03

Confirmed-bar entry

When bias and conditions agree, the strategy enters on a confirmed-bar signal — not mid-bar noise.

04

OCO bracket management

Each trade is governed by one stop-and-target bracket, with optional breakeven and structural-stop handling.

Why this exists

Why this exists

The analysis was right more often than the results were.

VantEdge started with a frustration many traders know. Trading manually, discipline broke down in the moment — stops got moved, winners got cut short, and one emotional decision could undo a week of patience. The edge wasn’t the problem. Execution was.

So the process got handed to rules. Every entry, every exit, every stop defined in code and applied the same way on every trade, regardless of how the session felt. Removing the discretion is what finally made the results consistent. That’s the whole idea behind VantEdge — not a promise of profit, but a framework that trades the plan instead of the emotion.

VantEdge Legacy. This reflects personal trading experience; your results will differ, and no outcome is guaranteed.

Automated vs. manual

Why systematic execution changes the game.

The hardest part of trading usually isn’t the idea — it’s doing the same thing every time under pressure. Automation removes the moment-to-moment decisions where discipline tends to break. It isn’t strictly better for everyone, which is why VantEdge also works as a signal layer for discretionary traders.

Systematic (VantEdge)
Executes the same rules on every trade
No hesitation, revenge trades, or moved stops
Consistent through winning and losing streaks
Trades sessions you can’t watch, via alerts
Immune to fatigue and screen-time burnout
Fully backtestable and repeatable
Manual / discretionary
Rules bend under pressure in the moment
Emotion drives entries, exits, and sizing
Results swing with mood and focus
Limited to hours you’re actively watching
Vulnerable to fatigue and overtrading
Keeps human judgment & adaptability

Manual trading keeps something automation can’t — human judgment and the ability to adapt to context. That’s a real strength, and VantEdge supports it: many traders run the signals as confirmation alongside their own read rather than fully automating. Use it whichever way fits your process.

Two ways to trade it

Automate it, or use it as confirmation.

Automated

Point one alert at your endpoint

Paired with a compatible execution connector, VantEdge outputs webhook-ready alerts compatible with execution services such as Ghost, TradersPost, PickMyTrade, and CrossTrade. Set one “order fills only” alert and let your service handle execution. TradingView scripts don’t place live orders themselves — you configure and control the broker or automation service.

Discretionary

A high-quality signal layer

Many traders use VantEdge as confirmation alongside their own read — market structure, order flow, liquidity, volume profile, support & resistance, price action, and higher-timeframe bias. Both approaches are fully supported; use it the way that fits your process.

Prefer signals only, no automation? The VantEdge MNQ Indicator plots the same methodology’s long/short signals — you handle execution. No automation setup required.

Recommended Default Settings

We’ve done the optimization work.

The VantEdge Strategy comes with our preferred long-term configuration. These settings are based on extensive historical testing and are designed to prioritize robustness and consistency rather than maximize performance over a short or isolated period.

We recommend starting with the default settings rather than optimizing for a specific recent period. Changing settings can materially change signal frequency, drawdown, and performance characteristics.

Default does not mean guaranteed. Market conditions change, and historical results do not guarantee future performance.

Built for MNQ. Not everything.

VantEdge focuses exclusively on Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures (MNQ) on the 2-minute chart. Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, it is designed around one market and one core timeframe — one instrument, tuned deeply, beats a dozen half-understood ones.

FAQ

Common questions.

What market does VantEdge trade?

MNQ — Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures.

What timeframe?

The 2-minute chart.

Is VantEdge automated?

TradingView generates the signals; automation can be connected through supported webhook services (Ghost, TradersPost, PickMyTrade, CrossTrade). TradingView scripts do not place live orders on their own — you configure and control the broker or automation service.

Can I change the number of contracts?

Yes. Contract size defaults to 2 and is adjustable. Take-profit, stop-loss, trailing stop, close-all-positions time, time-window block, and select-day block are all adjustable too.

Does VantEdge guarantee profits?

No. Past and hypothetical performance is not indicative of future results, and all trading involves substantial risk.

Can I use it with a prop firm?

VantEdge may be used as part of a trader’s process for evaluating or trading a prop-firm account, subject to the firm’s rules and restrictions. VantEdge does not guarantee passing an evaluation or maintaining a funded account.

What platform do I need?

A TradingView account — the free Basic plan works for an invite-only script once you’re granted access; paid plans (Essential, Plus, Premium) are optional. For live MNQ data you’ll need a broker connection or CME data add-on; the free delayed feed is fine for testing.

Do I need to automate it?

No. VantEdge can be used manually as a signal / confirmation layer, or connected to compatible automation services — whichever fits your process.
