A systematic, rules-based MNQ futures strategy developed for the 2-minute chart — built to identify selective directional opportunities, manage risk through predefined rules, and stay with qualifying moves as they develop.

Hypothetical performance:The backtest covers 36 full calendar months from October 2023 through September 2026 and includes 744 closed trades with net P&L of $55,902.94. Of the 36 months, 34 are profitable and 2 are negative (October 2023, −$86.54; September 2024, −$155.28). September 2026 net P&L is $2,406.26. Days with no trades remain part of the full calendar-month test period. Backtest assumptions:1 MNQ contract, $25,000 initial capital, $0.62 commission per contract per side, 1-tick slippage, 10% simulated margin, Bar Magnifier enabled (a feature of higher-tier TradingView plans; results on other plans may differ). Historical results are simulated and do not guarantee future performance.

Percentage returns are based on the $25,000 initial capital.
*Positive months: calendar months with net P&L above $0, based on trade exit dates.
The approach
Selective participation. Adaptive management.
Trenova is designed around a repeatable process: qualify the opportunity, execute the signal, manage the position, and protect the account through predefined rules.
Rules-based
Trade qualification and position management are governed by predefined strategy rules instead of moment-to-moment discretion.
Trenova is not designed to trade constantly. There may be sessions where no opportunity satisfies the strategy’s qualification framework.
Adaptive management
Runner-oriented management is designed to give qualifying moves room while maintaining systematic position and risk controls.
How it works
Evaluate. Qualify. Execute. Manage.
Trenova uses a proprietary multi-layer decision framework. The underlying formulas, timing relationships, thresholds, and internal parameters are intentionally protected, while the customer sees the confirmed signals and position-management output.
01
Evaluate the market
The strategy continuously evaluates its internal market and session conditions.
02
Qualify the opportunity
A trade is considered only when the required strategy conditions satisfy the qualification framework.
03
Confirmed strategy signal
When a qualifying opportunity is confirmed, Trenova generates a systematic long or short entry.
04
Adaptive position management
Risk, trade development, protection, and exits are handled according to predefined rules as the position evolves.

Why this exists
Trade the process. Not the emotion.
Trenova was built around a problem many traders recognize: the analysis can be solid, but execution can still break down in the moment.
Stops get moved. Winners get cut too early. Good setups get skipped after a loss. Lower-quality trades get taken out of frustration. One emotional decision can undo an otherwise disciplined process.
The challenge is not always finding an opportunity. It is following the same plan consistently when money, volatility, and emotion are involved.
That is why Trenova was designed around predefined rules.
The strategy evaluates qualifying opportunities systematically, executes according to its framework, and manages positions using the same process regardless of recent wins, losses, or market noise.
The goal is not to remove risk.
The goal is to reduce unnecessary inconsistency and make the trading process more objective, repeatable, and disciplined.

Systematic vs. manual
Why consistent execution matters.
Automation does not remove trading risk. It standardizes execution of the strategy rules. Trenova can also be used as a signal layer for traders who prefer discretionary confirmation.
⚙︎Systematic (Trenova)
Executes the same rules on every trade
No hesitation, revenge trades, or moved stops
Consistent through winning and losing streaks
Trades sessions you can’t watch, via alerts
Immune to fatigue and screen-time burnout
Fully backtestable and repeatable
Manual / discretionary
Rules bend under pressure in the moment
Emotion drives entries, exits, and sizing
Results swing with mood and focus
Limited to hours you’re actively watching
Vulnerable to fatigue and overtrading
Keeps human judgment & adaptability
Manual trading keeps something automation can’t — human judgment and the ability to adapt to context. That’s a real strength, and Trenova supports it: many traders run the signals as confirmation alongside their own read rather than fully automating. Use it whichever way fits your process.

Built for MNQ. Not everything.
Trenova focuses exclusively on Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures (MNQ) on the 2-minute chart. Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, it is designed around one market and one core timeframe — one instrument, tuned deeply, beats a dozen half-understood ones.

FAQ
Common questions.
What market does Trenova trade?
MNQ — Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures.
What timeframe?
The 2-minute chart.
Is Trenova automated?
For CrossTrade automation, create one “Order fills only” alert for Trenova. Configure the connector message, webhook URL and destination account using the Automation guide, then verify entries and exits in simulation. TradingView scripts do not place broker orders themselves.
Yes. Contract size defaults to 1 and is adjustable. Take-profit, stop-loss, trailing stop, close-all-positions time, time-window block, and select-day block are all adjustable too.
Does Trenova guarantee profits?
No. Past and hypothetical performance is not indicative of future results, and all trading involves substantial risk.
Can I use it with a prop firm?
Trenova may be used as part of a trader’s process for evaluating or trading a prop-firm account, subject to the firm’s rules and restrictions. Trenova does not guarantee passing an evaluation or maintaining a funded account.
What platform do I need?
A TradingView account. A Premium plan is not required to use Trenova once invite-only access is granted. For automation, webhook alerts require a TradingView plan that supports webhook notifications, with two-factor authentication enabled. Alert limits vary by plan. For real-time MNQ market data, you’ll need CME data through TradingView or a supported broker connection; delayed data can be used for testing. Published backtest results use Bar Magnifier, which requires a higher-tier TradingView plan; on other plans, historical results may differ.
Do I need to automate it?
No. Trenova can be used manually as a signal / confirmation layer, or connected to compatible automation services — whichever fits your process.
